Hi there Concert Choir members and families!
Welcome to the first email of the 2025/26 season! Whether you are a returning CC chorister, a member moving up from Recital Choir, or a singer who is new to VCC

I hope you've had a wonderful and restful summer.
My name is Lindsey, and I am your Concert Choir Manager. I look forward to meeting all of our new singers, as well as seeing our returning singers, at our first rehearsal from 4-6pm this Friday, Sept 5th, at St. George's Church (3909 St George's Ln, Victoria, BC V8N 4E3).
If you have not met me yet, I will be in the foyer receiving forms and taking attendance. Please check in with me at your arrival!
Attached are our start of year forms: medical, fundraising, media releases, attendance policy, camp waiver, and of course key dates.
Please sign and return these forms to me (digitally via email or in person before/after rehearsal) by Tuesday, September 9th.
This includes the Camp Pringle Waiver, as we are heading to camp for our rehearsal intensive on September 12-14! (More info to follow).
It also includes your Key Dates document; please note this will be subject to new versions as call times are specified.
A few notes on these forms:
As per the law, we must shred documentation from last year.
If you are vegan/ vegetarian/GF or have any dietary or environmental allergies, please note on your medical form.
If you would like an address removed from this mailing list, please let me know.
Please take a look at the Key Dates and compare against your family calendar. Musicals? Medical? Sports? Family trips? School trips?
Please review the attendance form: last regular rehearsals before dress rehearsals and dress rehearsals are mandatory for performances.
The link to the "Choir Handbook" on the Welcome page should answer some FAWs: re, payment, uniforms, etc.
This year we are led again by David and Kim. New this year, Kim will be joining us on Fridays! We are fortunate to be joined by Yvonne Van de Velde as well, who will be this season's Apprentice Conductor.
2025/26 is a full season packed with big opportunities, including our Signature Concert series, The Messiah with the Victoria Symphony, involvement in Tosca, plus our exchange to Toronto in March, and hosting our Toronto friends here in May. We are SO excited for this season, and can't wait to see you all very soon!
