HOME ALONE DISCOUNT CODE, POV AUDIENCE SURVEY

Hi there lovely CC singers and families,

Thanks for joining us today! Happy November, a fabulous month for getting deeper into the world of singing.

Home Alone Discount Code: CHOIR25 for 25% off

The Victoria Symphony has provided a discount code, just for us, for any performances of Home Alone this December. The code CHOIR25 gives 25% off up to 4 adult tickets, and you can book your tickets here.

This is a very popular event that has sold out in the past, so we would advise making your plans soon if you would like to attend! There are three performances, and the pricing does vary per section, so I would recommend clicking around to find your preferred seats, then snagging them with the code. Feel free to bring your friends+loved ones, but please note this code is a private issue (please don't post to social media).

Il Trovatore-Ticket Access Program Survey from POV

The fine folks at POV are seeking those who received free tickets to the Il Trovatore to tell them about their audience member experience at the opera! Any feedback you have to share is valuable.

You can find the survey here

Listening:

• Today we were asked to have Mr. Santa How did that go for you? Take a little look over it before Friday if needed.

• Memorized: Catch a Falling Star (keep singing this one so you don't lose progress)

• In progress: Missa Brevis and White Winter Hymnal (clapping tutorial here)

As Kim and Alex shared last week, one of the best ways to memorize a piece is to write yourself an "outline' on a piece of paper or on flashcards. Writing out a little summary tests your memory of the order of each section.

A note on November 27:

This is our last regular Friday rehearsal before the concert, and also a Pro-D day for SD61.

We have rehearsal on Nov 27 :) Enjoy your day off from school if it applies!

Cheers and thank you all for reading!
