Hi CC members and families!

Thanks for joining us at our joint rehearsal for The Messiah (part 2) with Christ Church Cathedral Singers.

On Tuesday, we will sing our Winter Concert Repertoire. Next Friday, Nov 21, we will sing The Messiah Part 1 with CCC again at St. George's.

Mark Your Calendars: Concert Choir Parent Meeting: November 28th, 5:45PM at St. George's

All CC families are required to attend.

We will be discussing billeting in Toronto, and hosting here in Victoria, as well as going over our travel information from Experiences Canada.

For the comfort and safety of all, our choristers will be billeted in pairs in Toronto, and the Toronto choristers will be billeted in pairs here.

Action Needed: Register Your Chorister for Toronto Travel:

-All choristers who are participating in the Toronto leg of the exchange in March must be registered.

You should have received a registration link from Experiences Canada.

Please check your inbox and spam filter, and let me know if you have not received it.

Please register your chorister with Experiences Canada by Tuesday, November 18.

-Complete the whole registration process through the link. We will discuss hosting at our parent meeting. The exchange cannot succeed without hosts, so thank you to everyone so far who is hosting. There is a questionnaire in there with information about your chorister's likes/interests, which Experiences Canada uses for matching choristers with a Toronto chorister with shared interests (as much as is possible!) for billets.

-Criminal Record Checks are required for all adults who live with the host families. We can facilitate this; if you do not have a current CRC record check, we can email you a link to fill out to get this done. Please reply to request this link.

Listening/Practice:

Our winter concert, Joy in Every Note is in 3 short weeks!

Chorister's priority for Tuesday is to review "She's Like the Swallow". This is a vintage piece so while there isn't a listening track, please sing your part and count out rhythms.

Other pieces:

  • Messe Basse - Soloists will be appointed on Tuesday!

  • Eatnemen - Basically memorised; needs work on Norwegian and timing of entrances/cut offs.

  • The Frost  -  Basically memorised; time for polishing

  • V'la l'bon - Basically memorised, quartet(s) work, and general polishing.

Tickets:

*Please note, this concert starts at 2pm each day, and does sell out!

Discount Code is choir25 :)
