Happy mid-October! We are well into things this term. The autumnal colors are emerging and the fall rains are here. Thanks for a lovely, cozy rehearsal today.
Notice of AGM:
The Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00pm via Zoom.
All members of the Society are encouraged to attend. One parent or guardian per family of children enrolled in the Victoria Children’s Choir programs is automatically enrolled as a member of the Society. Many of our grants are dependent on the support we have from our membership - so please join us!!
The agenda for the Annual General Meeting is as follows:
· Call to order
(7:00pm)
· Establish a quorum
· Adopt the rules of order
· Approve the agenda
· Approve the minutes of the last AGM
· Report of the directors – President report, committee reports
· Consideration of financial statements
· Election of directors
· Adjournment
The link and instructions for the Zoom meeting will be sent out a couple of days in advance of the meeting along with all supporting documents.

Listening Assigned:
Please complete the following for Tuesday:
1. Review your part from Star Light Star Bright: Look over your part and play your notes on the piano if able. This is a premiere piece, so there are no tracks yet!
2. Anang-last 4 bars: look at that chord: Are you singing the root of the chord? Come prepared to answer that question for Kim!
3. Messiah: Listen now and check out "#53: Worthy is the Lamb" using your favourite Messiah listening tool from those linked on Singing Space.
Jackets, Uniforms, and Garment Bags:
Next Friday, Oct 25, we will be distributing the VCC jackets and garment bags.
These items are on loan.
Please keep them clean and nice for the duration of the season
These will be returned at the end of the season.
Please allow for a bit of extra time next Friday (Oct 25), so that you can receive your jacket before rehearsal, or at break.
Please store your dress shirt, trousers, and dress shoes together in the garment bag (it has a zip pocket for shoes!)
A select number will also get their dress shirts (ones that we needed to order are still in transit)
Your teal dress shirt is yours to keep, as you bought it!
Dress shirts are $25, unless you turned in an RC polo to me. Then they are $10.
If your chorister is new to CC, please reply to this email if you would like me to charge your card on file for the shirt (when issued)
Resizings for CC members are free—please ensure your choristers has tried on their black straight leg trousers (no leggings), their black dress shoes, and their teal shirt no later than this week.
If we had to order your size, you will get your dress shirt when it comes in!
