January 20th Updates: Chaperone Meeting

Hello Concert Choir families! 

Thank you for an amazing weekend. We got so much done and had tons of fun too. 

A few small things: 

Marketing in Attendance: 

Tomorrow, at our first official Little Prince  rehearsal from 5-7 at POV, Arcade from LP's marketing team will be in attendance to shoot some behind the scenes footage.

These two songs were given out at camp. If you did not receive these, please see me at the top of rehearsal tomorrow and I will give you your copy.

Sunday, Jan 26th-Save the Date-Quick Chaperone Introduction Meeting, 6pm: 

At pickup, we will have a quick 10-15 minute meeting with Geoff the Liaison/"Wrangler", Chris the Stage Manager, the Assistant Stage Management team, the singers, and all parent chaperones in POV. This will be to introduce the singers to the staff, and introduce the chaperones to each other and to the staff.

Fittings: 

Fittings sign ups have been sent out. For any questions or concerns, please contact the wardrobe department directly. They have asked to manage fittings exclusively.

Parent Carpool Group Chat: 

To aid in the coordination of carpools, Sarah (Colin's mom) and Marina (Kalin's mom) have created a WhatsApp group for carpools. This is optional to join, but this will be the place to request or offer carpools and trades. Join here.

Parent Chaperone Sign Up: 

As a reminder, we need 2 chaperones for the duration of every rehearsal.

One to be the Opener, ready at 20 minutes before rehearsal to receive choristers and sign them in, and one to be the Closer, who will stay until everyone is picked up. Lines highlighted in yellow are still open. 

Opener: Sign in sheets will live with Stage Management in their binder. All medical forms will also live there too. Please pick up the sign in sheets from Stage Management, and be ready to sign in students at 20 minutes before rehearsal. The opener chaperone can leave as soon as the rehearsal is over. 

Closer: The closer chaperone should arrive a couple minutes before rehearsal (no need to be a full 20 min early). There is a contact sheet in the Stage Management binder with parents' phone numbers, in case of late pickup. You can also text or call me if you have any issues or concerns. There will be other staff cleaning up and discussing the rehearsal as well afterward, if you need onsite support for any reason. 

I will be at as many rehearsals as my school and work commitments (including Youth Ensemble) allow me to be at, and I will be reachable via phone and email. Geoff will be our hired liaison for POV, and the main point person for Children's Chorus logistics while at rehearsal. Kim will be at every rehearsal as POV's rehearsal pianist. David and Isolde will also attend as many rehearsals as their work and other choral commitments (ie Youth Ensemble) allow. 

We still have some open spaces, so if you haven't signed up for a spot, please take a look!
