Hi lovely CC singers and families,

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a restful break and a wonderful holiday with good food, friends, and family. We are looking forward to seeing you all for our first rehearsal this Friday, January 9th, from 4-6pm at St. George's.

A couple of things:

Music:

Please bring your Messiah scores for return on Friday.

Attendance Policy-Please Check Your Calendars:

I have attached the attendance policy for your review; as we head into a new term, please share any rehearsal conflicts with me in advance, in writing.

(The Most Recent Key Dates is also attached for scheduling purposes!)

Our attendance policy is a maximum of 5 missed rehearsals in the second term, although since we have just two months to learn our music for tour, we do ask that folks try their best to come to rehearsal.

If choristers are well enough to go to school, they are well enough to come to rehearsal.

It is totally okay in these cases for them to be masked and follow along with the instruction while choosing to rest their voices. Lots of learning happens in rehearsal, and listening in can be more helpful than you think; plus we recognize it can be stressful for singers to miss multiple rehearsals in a row. In case of a conflict with a later evening performance, partial attendance at rehearsal is preferred.

In case of an emergency during rehearsal, please contact me.

It's Time for a Getaway: Winter Rehearsal Retreat at Camp Pringle:

Our winter rehearsal intensive at Camp Pringle is right around the corner on January 16th! Signing, games, team-building and general merriment await. To that end:

-Please sign and return the attached Camp Waiver by Tuesday, January 13. On Tuesday, we will fill out our roommate request forms.

-Call for Chaperones: I am looking for 2 overnight chaperones to accompany us on this trip. Our duties include supervising activities, wake-up checks, bedtime patrol, eating free food, having fun, and listening to our wonderful choir sing. Let me know if you're interested!

More camp info coming shortly ;)

Thanks all-looking forward to seeing you soon!
