Hello concert choir families!
In addition to this week’s homework, please find the details for our festival recording this coming Friday below! Drop-off and pick-up times are the same as every Friday rehearsal, so there are no changes in schedule.
Festival recording Feb 26
Where: St. George's church - we will be meeting in the gym
When: 5:15 -7:15 - just like a regular rehearsal!
What: we will be recording the African Suite and Agnes Dei from the jazz mass to submit to the greater Victoria performing arts Festival.
Wearing: red polos, black pants, black socks, black shoes (you know the drill!). Remember you will be on camera, so make sure we can see your shining faces!
Also wearing: the warmest coats you have! As you may remember, the gym gets quite cold when we have to ventilate, so it's important that you are properly insulated. Bring sweaters and scarves and all your best bundling gear.
Looking forward to seeing you all in your concert reds!
Homework:
1. Gabi, Gabi! - Find your source of energy (movement, inner strength, nature.....) Practice with the practice videos on Singing Space. 2. Stabat Mater - Focus on all fast movements: # 5, 8, 11 and 13. Try reading the music while listening with your inner ear. Are you able to hear the music without singing it or listening to a recording? If yes, you are very close to committing it to memory. Best to all of you as we head towards the end of the week!
